Going Green
For the last few years there has been a lot of talk about going green. What does that even mean, "Going Green?" Going Green is not just simply implementing a recycling program, but it is the way we think and do business.

Millennium Maintenance has committed to Going Green and doing our part to help conserve the environment. Millennium is now Registered with the U.S. Green Building Council, the leader in cost efficient and energy-saving buildings (www.usgbc.org).

According to USGBC Buildings in the United States are responsible for 39% of CO2 emissions, 40% of energy consumption, 13% water consumption and 15% of GDP per year, making green buildings a source of significant economic and environmental opportunity. USGBC's mission is To transform the way buildings and communities are designed, built and operated, enabling an environmentally and socially responsible, healthy, and prosperous environment that improves the quality of life.

Millennium would like to introduce our Millennium Green Clean System™. MGCS is a reliable and low cost sustainable Green Cleaning Systems. Some of the benefits of MGCS include:

Cleaning tip of the month
How to remove engine oil and grease stains.

Have you ever walked through an oil stain in your garage or parking lot and then the next thing you know you have stained your home or business carpet? Stop those carpet stains at the source, remove the spills first from you garages & parking lots.

  1. Cover the Oil or Grease stain with sawdust, sweeping compound, or kitty litter, then blot firmly.
  2. Remove absorbing compound and then lightly wet the area.
  3. Add liquid dish soap or degreaser and scrub hard.
  4. Rinse area and repeat steps 1-4 if necessary.

This method alone will not remove the stain but it will remove the oil or grease to eliminate future stains. To completely remove oil and grease stains call us to pressure wash the area.
