Part of our quality assurance program are our rated inspections that we conduct on a monthly basis. The inspections provide an overall rating of your facility. We have recently modified our inspection form to give us a faster inspection time and more of a user friendly form for both you and our managers.

Currently in the Janitorial industry, the average cleanliness of a building is around 75%. This is the acceptable industry standard, but this is not acceptable for Millennium. Currently all of our buildings average over a 90% cleanliness level.

We are able to maintain this high level of excellence in part because of our frequent detailed inspection, but most importantly we are able to maintain this high level of service because of our wonderful employees. As many of you know, we perform all of our own work, We do not subcontract any work out. Wether it is fixing a leaking roof, painting, strip & wax or power washing you can count on a certified and skilled Millennium employee doing the work. Just look for the white or blue Millennium shirt.

Through our inspection program we are able to monitor the trends and overall cleanliness of your facility. Our supervisors and crews for each facility are incentivized greatly on the weight of the monthly surveys. In 2009 we had many top performers. We would like to thank all of our employees for the hard work that they do, but at this time we would like to recognize our 2009 top performers.

For the last quarter of 2009 the cleanest facility award goes to the Tri-anim Health Services crew lead by Antonio Sandoval and Gabriela Alvarez.

Millennium would also like to recognize Narcy Nava as the 2009 Employee of the Year. Narcy has shown continued hard work, loyalty, dedication and integrity. Narcy is a great asset to Millennium and to you, our customers. Thank you Narcy for all of your hard work. Runners up for the employee of the year award went to Alvaro Saco and Hipolito Salinas.

Cleaning tip of the month
In the janitorial industry it is crucial that we have a scope of work, known as a checklist that lets us know what to clean and when to clean. Without this direction there is no sense of purpose and production rates drop.

The same philosophy can be applied to house cleaning. Many of us have house keepers that come on a weekly-monthly schedule. We often hear complaints about house keepers not cleaning the way we want or not doing what is expected of them. Like a business, every house is different and has different tenants. If you want your house to be cleaned the way you want and be satisfied with the product you are paying for then you must:

  1. Communicate your expectations to your housekeeper. Then inspect what you expect.
  2. Create a scope of work / cleaning list for your house that will keep your house keeper on task and cleaning what you want cleaned. This will increase their production rate and the cleanliness of your home.
